Faithful One!

A couple weeks ago I was able to hang out with my Best friend Jennifer and her two amazing little boys. Oh wait can't forget about little Bentley the Boston Terrier. All three of these boys are so special to her. She has been going through some very bumpy roads the past couple months and I gotta tell ya she is one amazingly strong woman. She has a very strong faith and I believe that the Lord is with her and her family and keeping them faithful. I love them all so much and we had such a great time playing and running around just doing the everyday fun things. The boys love to read books and they read me the funniest story about a little dog speaking spanish. It was too funny. I hope you enjoy these images as much as we did. I love you guys!

I have not posted in a while and I was outside with my boys and decided to get some updated photos of them. I have a 3 year old brindle boxer named Chuy and a 7 month old fawn boxer named Te'o (tay-o: Notre Dame Football). These boys are full of energy but the moment you bring some treats around they are on there best behavior. I think it is so adorable how they sit and pose for me. This are my only babies I have and I do spoil them rotten. They are amazing with kids and are a great protector also.

Every year I look forward to photographing this family. This is my best friend and her adorable boys. She always has the best ideas and outfits for them. I also love the tradition she is making by photographing them in there Christmas pajamas. I love this idea and think it is so neat. I hope you enjoy these and I will try and post more this week so I can be all caught up.
Have a good 1st week back from vacation tomorrow. I know it is going to be hard on me to get back in the working mood. ;)

Merry Christmas everyone. I can't believe this mad rush is over now. It amazes me every year how fast time flies. I do not have any kids at the moment and I can't even imagine what it will be like then. Before you know it they will be off to college. Anyway... I had the most amazing time with my family and eating till I can't even move. Ugh!

But aside from all of that fun stuff, I have been such a bad blogger. I had some amazing people that I got to work with during the holiday rush and this family is one of them. I had such a great time with this session. Everyone was so fun, cooperative, and outgoing! They made my job so so easy. I think this was one of the easiest sessions! The location was to die for (thank you to the weather for holding out till we finished), and everyone was so photogenic. I loved every bit of it. I was so excited I came home and started editing. :)
Anyway... I will be blogging more but until then enjoy this beautiful family. Thank you.

'tis the Season

I can't believe Christmas is in 12 days. Everything is starting to look like Christmas around here. We hung our lights outside and with the winter weather today it was just amazing. I hope it doesn't rain Wednesday afternoon because I have a fun family session coming up and don't want to reschedule.
Anyway on to this cute lil man! He is 6months old now and I can't believe how fast time flies. I took his newborn pictures. He was the little owl setup. So adorable.

Oh baby Anthony... this little guy was 4 weeks old. Not the ideal age to photograph a newborn but we gave it a try anyway. A newborn session is best when they are 7-10 days new. This way the baby is still in sleep mode and can be molded into those tight little poses. But I new his momma so we made what we can work. The little Christmas setup is something that I was wanting to do but because he was so fussy this was literally the only shot I got. I got this one just in case because I knew he had his pacifier in but the second I went to take it out he was done for. I'm sure glad I got just one. LOL but I did have fun chatting with mom all day and playing with little Anthony.

Today little Issak turned 1 years old! I can't believe how fast time goes by. This is a very good friend of mines little one and I just remember like it was yesterday when she told me she was pregnant and we did her maternity pictures. This little one is so handsome and full of little smily facial expressions I did catch this first image and had to post it. Isn't he so cute even with that little sad face? I love it. Anyway... we had a blast hanging out that morning for our session.

I was finally able to photograph these two cuties. The first attempt little K had a ear infection and then we tried again and the baby got sick then I through my neck out! Wow... I couldn't believe how long it took but it was worth the wait. I had so much fun with them. Little K is such a hoot. She was having so much fun and said to me " I want to take lots of pictures in my pink tutu!" As I was setting up the next shot she ran to her room and got her little Hello Kitty purse. She wanted to make sure we got some pictures with it. Oh so adorable.

Oh I had so much fun hanging out with this little cutie and her family. She was so adorable and fell in love with me when I showed her my little sticker stash ;) Gotta love those little bribes for smiles here and there. She did such a good job. Mom stayed inside while we did her "Studio" shots which helped her to not want to go to her mom. We played and had fun just the two of us. Then we all headed out to the park. It was an overcast day which turned out to be great. I was just praying it did not rain. We had fun hanging out and by the end of the session little Chloe had enough of me! LOL she just cracks me up that little cutie.

It is beginning to look like fall around Tucson and I am loving it. I was finally ale to meet up with this beautiful family. We worked so hard to find a day that worked for everyone and it happened to be this weekend. I could not have asked for a more beautiful day. The weather was perfect and that golden sun topped it off.

A while back I was asked to do a session of this adorable brother and sister as a surprise for there mom. I though it was just a sweet idea. I was in contact with dad and we planned everything out. They happen to be my husband's cousins so I called the day of to see if they wanted to "hang out" for a little while. I am a terrible lier so when I went to the door, mom asked so what are you guys gonna do? Oh man my heart started beating fast and I could feel my cheeks starting to burn up. I made up a little something and we headed out the door.
The kids had put there clothes in there dads truck so all they had to do is pull them out and put them in my car. As we are approaching our location the brother asks if I know how to tie a tie? Umm nope! Well thank God for the good old iphone, I just googled a youtube video and we managed to do a good job. Ha Ha. We had a blast and I think mom was very surprised and happy. Thank you guys for a funny little evening.

So I know I have been terrible about posting sessions to my blog. I have been super busy with everything. This past weekend I was at the Taylor Swift concert on Saturday and my oh so fabulous father-in-law got us a Suite. We took my 6 year old niece to her 1st concert. I can't even remember how old I was when I went to my 1st concert and she went to her 1st in a suite. They really set themselves up. ;) Anyway... so now that I am back I figured I would post this adorable little cake smash session I did early on in September. These sessions are so much fun but challenging sometimes. Either they are walking and want to explore and run or you get a calm and relaxed one with lots of fun smiles. Either way they are fun.

At the beginning of September I was asked to photograph little Hunter's Baptism. I got some special moments of his Godparents getting him ready for his special day. He was such a happy baby and full of smiles. He did not even make a sound when they put the holy water on his head. Amazing.

I had the most amazing day spending it with this precious little girl. She was so tiny and the sweetest thing ever. At 9days new she was such a trooper. It was so funny how she always wanted to hand at her mouth no matter how much I tried to put it some place else. But I love all the images we were able to capture. I could hardly wait to write this post. Sidney is a High School Senior who loves running track and cross country. She is very hard working, with a great sense of humor. On her spare time aside from running and working two other jobs, she likes to volunteer at the Animal League. They feed and socialize with the animals and clean out the living areas. When Sidney contacted me to do her Senior pictures I was super excited and when I met with her and her mom I knew she was going to knock this out. Even though we had to switch to a different location, I think it worked out perfect and the lighting could not have been any better. So I finally got around to posting part 2 of this amazing Senior who will be graduating in 2012. This girl is super sweet with a awesome personality. She is very outgoing and athletic and and loves to sing, draw, dance and play soccer.
If you haven't noticed she is very fashionable and loves to be creative. When she came to me to do her senior pictures, she had a whole page full of different ideas that she wanted for her pictures. We did not want to go for the traditional Senior portraits, so instead we came of with some fun ideas that captured her fun outgoing and sassy style. What are mini - sessions?

Mini sessions are half the time of a regular session. Regular sessions last from 1 to 2 hours and can be at the location of your choice. Mini - sessions are more stylized and last around 20 minutes for a mini-session price.

What is the cost of a mini - session?

A mini - session costs $60.00 and is due the time of your session. You can choose package A or Package B.

When will I receive my order?

You can expect to receive your order within 2 weeks of your session. After I edit the images I will contact you. Please fill out a client info slip at the time of your session.

How often do you offer mini-session?

I do not offer mini-session that often, so take advantage of this great offer. This is a great way to get awesome pictures and takes less time! Can't beat that.

What should we wear & what to bring?

Please wear anything that brings out your style. Fun bold, bright colors always add pop to an image. Layer clothing and accessories add texture to them as well. Feel free to bring your backpack or any other prop you would like to add to your session. There will be other props set at the location already.

Sweet Baby Boy!

So... Do you remember that maternity session I did a while back that I was just drooling over? Well he is finally here. Born at
6lb 1oz. So tiny. He was actually 1 pound bigger than his older brother. I was so excited to try out some new setups and props that I had but this little stinker was giving me a hard time. I felt like he never really fell into a deep deep sleep. But oh well. I am happy with what we got and I still love him no matter what. He will just pay for it later in life because I will be taking pictures of him wether he likes it or not.

I will just apologize right now for such a long post! I could not help myself in choosing just a few to post. There are so many good ones that I went a little over board. Anyway this is Frankie and he is putting a Modeling portfolio together and asked me to take some photos of him. I felt very honored to do so. We had a lot of fun together with different locations and a few outfit changes. This should at least give him a good start in his portfolio. Here is another image of my sister that I took this weekend after her baby shower. This is going to be her second child, and with the 1st one she had this same image taken and wanted to do another one but facing the other direction. So I had my mom and cousin hold up a sheet and we setup right in front of the back window! This turned out beautiful. I love it and it is going to look so awesome with both pictures next to each other. I can't wait to meet baby Ayden this Friday June 3, 2011.

I have been longing for this session for some time now. When my sister found out she was pregnant I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I had styled this out in my head for a couple months and would go to bed with my head spinning. As it got closer and closer more and more ideas would be coming to mind. Finally I just had to pick a couple things and stick with it or I was going to drive myself nuts. This is my beautiful sister and my godson and soon to be little brother. It is such a beautiful thing to see my sister and the beautiful mom that she is. She just glows when she is pregnant and the yellow just tops it off. I am so glad everything turned out so perfect. And even the little one was able to hang with us for a bit to get just a couple shots with mommy. Baseball Season's Here!

It is beginning to feel like Summer time around Tucson. I am loving it! I love being outside and when it gets warm out you can find me by a pool, enjoying my backyard, night walks with my hubby and boxer. There is just so much to enjoy when the warmer weather is here especially Baseball. A couple weekends ago I joined my best friend Jennifer for my Godson's 1st baseball game this year. He did such a fantastic job. He caught so many balls and even got a home run! Way to go Dominic! Take a look at how adorable he looks.

This was a difficult little guy. He did not want to go to sleep. Even on a full tummy and a very nice and cozy room he was not having it. He was too busy looking at what was going on. We tried to wrap him up and he just wiggled his way out. He was a strong little guy. So we ended up getting some cute one with him wide awake.

Oh do I love this little guy. He was one of the first that I got to photograph when I was starting out. He has grown so much and is such a handsome little boy. His personality is so adorable. I really like how these turned out. His eyes really pop with the teal shirt against the black background.

Beautiful Little one...

Here is my beautiful little niece at 19 days old. I took some pictures of her when she was 3 days old and I was not happy with what I got, so I told her I needed her to model for me again. She was the best little girl and once we got her to sleep she just stayed sound asleep. Take a look at the headbands that I made for her little session. I think they came out adorable!

Baby Bump...

Today I got to spend the afternoon with a good friend of mine. We went and took some maternity pictures. There is a funny story behind this... we pull up to our location and the first place I wanted to shoot was getting watered by the sprinklers. Ok so we scratched that idea, we moved to the next spot and found some more lovely sprinklers. It seemed every place we went the grass was getting watered. No problem we can work with this. So we go on a walk and find a different location and we started there. I am so excited for this couple and I know that they are going to be awesome parents. They are so in love. There little one should be arriving December 5th so be watching the blog for their little one to be a star on the blog. Thank you so much guys for allowing me to document this special and exciting time in your life. I hope you enjoy your little sneak peek.

Rascal Flatts

Friday night I went to the Rascal Flatts concert in Phoenix at the Cricket Pavilion. My Father-in-law works for Hershey's Candy, and Hershey's is a huge sponsor for Rascal Flatts. So we were given VIP passes to the back with food and an open bar, and then for the best part we got to do a MEET & GREET. Yes I got to meet them. I have been to another country concert but they put on an amazing show. They interacted with the crowd did a little stand up comedy lol. The whole thing was such a great time. Here is the picture that they took. We were not allowed to take our personal cameras to the meet and greet. You would think they would have had a better lighting setup? Hello... jk but it was fun anyway!! I'm so excited to have met them.

I have always seen before and after pictures on other Photographers blog and always loved when they did that. It made me look at things in a whole different way. I have always wanted to post one like this but I could never get myself to do it because I never thought my SOOC shots were good enough to show them. But being able to see the creativity of another photographer just opens more doors. Custom Photography is so unique. Every image that I take is hand edited. I hope you enjoy this and know that with every image I provide you, it will be carefully edited.

Get Tha Funk Out Workshop

This past weekend I joined about 20 other photographers in California for a 1 day workshop. The workshop was hosted by 3 Professional Photographer: Gina Lee, Joanne Distaso, & Patrice Nelson. Get Tha Funk Out was one of the best experiences I ever had. When we arrived to the farm my eyes filled up with water. I could not believe I was really here. I got to meet so many new people and everyone made me feel like family. It was awesome. Thank you everyone for this awesome experience and I hope to be seeing you all at WPPI. I'm officially a GTFO girl! :)

I am so super excited I could hardly sleep last night. Tomorrow morning I will be on a plane at 6:00 a.m. headed to my first ever hands on workshop with the ever so fabulous Gina Lee and her Get Tha Funk Out girls. I have taken a couple of online workshops but nothing compares to being there in person. There will be 20 other Photographers like me, either just starting out, or need a little boost, etc. It will be taught by 3 Professional Photographers; Gina Lee, Joanne Distaso, and Patrice Nelson. I can't wait to come back and tell you all about it. Whish me luck and I will be back next week.

A little Sneak...

Here is a little sneak peek into what I will be working on this week. I did some maternity pictures for my sister in law this weekend and we had such a fun time. It is so funny working with a 5year old who thinks she knows everything and a 3 year old little boy that wants to just make funny faces. I love them to death and I can't wait to see there new little one in a couple short weeks. Stay tuned for newborn pictures of there little one.

Isn't this family amazing? I was asked to take some photos for Christmas cards while everyone was home visiting. Yes... I did say Christmas cards. It is that time of year again when we need to start thinking about fall sessions and Christmas cards.
Anyway... I met up with them at there house to snap a few photos. They mentioned to me that they love the black and whites. I love them too. I hope that you enjoy this family.

Has anyone heard of PhotoVison? Photovision 2010 is a series of DVD's that are delivered to your home or Studio every other month beginning the last week in February. It comes to you on 6 individual 2 hour DVD's that are produced on high quality movie like video and audio that can be viewed on your home entertainment system or DVD compatible computer or laptop.

Photovision 2010 for me has been an awesome experience. For only $39 I was able to get the education of Professional Photographers known all over and get behind the scenes action and tips. I could come home make dinner and sit down and watch a couple segments and get my fix for the day. I would recommend PhotoVision to any photographer that is interested in taking a seminar but does not have that much flexibility.

A little Gettaway

This past weekend my family and my in-laws went camping at the White Mountains. We had about 20-25 people. It was such a blast just hanging out with everyone and not having to be at work. It did rain every day which put a damper on the fishing but we managed to still have fun. We played many games of horse shoes and cards. Oh I can't forget to mention I did a ton of junk food eating. It is only right when your camping. Needless to say I started a diet when I got back. I have my sisters wedding at the end of August and I don't want that dress not to fit. So anyway... take a look at some of the pictures I took while we were out there.

Take a look at this wide awake little one. Isn't she precious. She did not sleep at all the whole session but for 3 minutes total. She wanted to see what was going on. It was a little difficult to get the poses that I wanted but I feel we got some pictures that will be beautiful on the wall. Thank you guys for letting me spend the afternoon with you.

I can not get enough of this little man. This is my Godson and he will be turning 1 in July. He is one of the happiest babies I have ever seen. I am not just saying that... it is the truth. :) Anyway I love the way these turned out and we had a blast. He was so good even with us changing him several times. I am so glad I have this little guy in my life. Every time I see him he just melts my heart. I love you.

I love it when I get a baby that has so much personality. They make for a fun session. I got to spend the afternoon with the happiest baby. He is going to be 1yr. in July but mom wanted to get some pictures done for Father's Day. So so cute. He had a blast and so did I.
Well watch out because he will be popping up again with a cake smash session. I can't wait.

I had such a blast today with this couple. I grew up with Lindsey ever since I was little. It is crazy to see her married and getting ready to be a mommy. This is the sweetest couple and they are going to be the best parents when there little one arrives. If you cant tell they are big fans of the Arizona Wildcats. Bear Down Arizona because we have another wildcat on the way. :) I hope you both enjoy this preview of part 1.

Sweet Sweet Baby

Please take a look at this precious little 14 day baby boy. Baby Nathan was such a sweet baby and did so good for his first photo shoot. I have to tell you this was my first newborn session, and I have fallen in love. It is the most amazing feeling to just photograph a new bundle of joy and to see the expression on the parents face when they see how adorable they are. I am super excited to write this post. This weekend I had the honor of photography my sister and soon to be brother-in-law. We are putting together a reception book and so we only thought it was appropriate to take some engagement photos. I am in love with every single one. Even though the Arizona sun was shinning like it never has before... we were able to get through it and get some amazing shots. Congratulations you two and I hope you like your little preview.

I am finally finished with this session. It was such a blast. My friend wanted to do something special for her hubby for their Anniversary that was on Wednesday. So I told her what about some photos? She thought is was a great idea. So for weeks we had been planning and planning and making lists of the things we wanted to do. She would call me late at night and tell me another idea she had so that she would not forget. :) Gotta love her. So anyway.... if you didn't get the idea already.. we had lots of ideas and had so much fun. I spent the day with her at her house and we just had a blast. Thank you so much for allowing me to take this photos. Here are the ones that are more conservative and I will save the rest for "His eyes ONLY." Hope you enjoy them. Cause I love them and I think you look HOTT!

Oh I just love this little guy. Do you remember him from way back when? Well I photographed him when I just started doing photography. He has grown up so fast. 2 years old already. Mom wanted to get some Easter pictures in and we got a couple 2 year old shots without the Easter basket. I just love them. He had me all over the park. That's the way I like it. Keep me on my toes. Well here you go enough talking on to the photos. :)
